Default Muslim Outrage Backfires

I think this entire Muslim outrage and violence over a few cartoons is backfiring big time on the Muslims. It is showing the entire west....all of the western countries....the entire world, actually.....once and for all......what this religion is all about. It's also showing the entire west how intolerant these people are....and how "revenge" and "murder" are the words they live by. There were plenty of people.....like myself....who were willing to give them the benefit of the doubt before. But not any more. They want the west to "not insult" their Prophet. Pretty soon, they'll demand that the women of the world wear Burkhas.

"We are now facing a growing global crisis," Anders Fogh Rasmussen said. "It now is something else than the drawings in Jyllands-Posten."

In Pakistan, 5,000 people chanting "Hang the man who insulted the prophet" burned effigies of one cartoonist and Denmark's prime minister. Citizens from Denmark — where the images were first published — were advised to leave Indonesia, the world's most populous Islamic nation, because of safety fears."

Default More outrage

I find it outrageous how the Associated Press finds news that we don't need to see. This is another example of anti-western, and selective news source.

Default One man's religion, "is" another mans satire!!!

“Stop, stop, we run out of virgins!” is extremely poignant!!

Funny as hell, and sad all at the same time!!!

I'm curious as to your stand on the war now. Has their recent "activities" changed your views at all? Do you still think "these people" were worth sacrificing 3,000 of our people and two trillion of our dollars?

You should give up with that, Bombeni. The only reason anyone would say, "hey, we are liberating Iraq" is because their first intentions were a huge failure.

Oh I know all about the ol' switcheroo, how it came to light there weren't really WMD so we decided to call it a liberation campaign. I just figure that goes w/o saying now, everyone has to take that for granted. I am wondering if these current, ghastly shows of violence and intimidation by the "liberees" is having any effect on the people who thought is was such a good idea to "stay the course."

Rest assured that no matter what happens, there will always be some way to "justify" the war. Just think back on all the stuff that turned out to be wrong, all the money spent and all the time wasted on it, and despite all the mistakes being acknowledged what's changed? Nothing. It won't change. Arguing it is futile.

Those in favor just go from "WMDs," to "Saddam was bad anyway," to "at least Iraqis can vote now" right back to "insert reason here" and so on. It's never going to end. You just have to ride it out.

I thought that some mistranslation made it 72 raisins, not virgins.

Or maybe they really did run out of virgins and had to substitute.

HUH??? This is about cartoons printed in a newspaper in Denmark. NOT THE WAR.

And 3000 of our people were viciously MURDERED Before BOTH events!!!
