Default Cheney Accidentally Shoots Hunter Friend

Thought I'd beat the Demo's to this one.

[b]Cheney Accidentally Shoots Hunter in Texas [/b
]Sunday, February 12, 2006

WASHINGTON — Late night comedy stars are probably planning a slew of new jokes after news broke Sunday that Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot and injured a hunting buddy.

Whittington "came up from behind the vice president and the other hunter and didn't signal them or indicate to them or announce himself," Armstrong told The Associated Press.

"The vice president didn't see him," she continued. "The covey flushed and the vice president picked out a bird and was following it and shot. And by God, Harry was in the line of fire and got peppered pretty good.

The shots "broke the skin," Armstrong said. "It knocked him silly. But he was fine. He was talking. His eyes were open. It didn't get in his eyes or anything like that."

Now we know the real reason why Cheney has medical personnel follow him everywhere he goes.

That's what a lot of people across cyberspace think, since it's obviously more difficult to confues a full grown man with a little bird.

My Dad lost his left eye in just such a hunting accident. He was 21 years old and went hunting with his Dad and some of his Dad's friends. They were also bird hunting in Texas. My Dad got accidentally shot by his own Dad. He always said it was his own fault for not being where he told them he was going to be. Sounds much like this guy. Bottom line, in hunting like this in a group, you need to signal where you are and stay where you're supposed to be. This isn't like one bullet; it's buckshot that scatters.

So, this man is lucky he didn't get an eye put out.
