Rev. Fred Phelps and his merry right wing gang of homophobes protests at military funerals -- carrying signs thanking God for IEDs.

At military funerals, they danced and sang songs peppered with vulgarities that condemned homosexuals and soldiers. Their message: God killed soldiers because they fought for a country that embraces homosexuals.

Boy it must really feel awful to know that all Right Wingers can be paint brushed by a few radical right wingers (but hey, isn't that what a previous message did for a few radical left wingers?)

Let's all get real, quit the name calling and broad brushing entire groups of people by saying a radical extreme few represents the mainstream -- such actions do as much disservice to the soldiers who are bravely attempting mission impossible as any of these radical idiots.

Good point that nutjobs don't represent the majority of either the left or the right. And these guys are nutjobs at the very best.

They certainly don't represent me.

I'm assuming the far left who burn SUV dealerships don't represent you either.

I don't see it as a left/right issue, and fortunately Phelps' cult has only about 75 members. The people who run this cult (I won't dignify it by calling it a "church") cause great suffering and even raytri, who is far more permissive on expression issues than I am, agreed that they shouldn't be allowed to spread their toxic propaganda at funerals.

You seem to see a point in threads pertaining to war protesters acting immorally.

Yeah but you see had this been a Far Left group.

1. It never would have been brought up.

2. If it was brought up excuses would be made for its actions..with the usual If Bush hadn't done this or that nonsense for flavor.
