Bill Clinton made deals with producers to put anti-drug messages in the primetime sitcom storyline. WITHOUT INFORMING THE PUBLIC. Since I agree with that message, though, it didn't really bother me.

Bush didn't start the "war on drugs". It had long been policy by the time of his election, making his power to get rid of it lower even if it were high on his priority list. Not to mention that somehow a majority of the public is fooled into thinking it's somehow a useful "war". If you're going to blame someone, find the president that started it (I think it was Reagan, but could be wrong).

You might be right. Never really looked into it. And I don't feel like it now.

Too many parents today have this attitude: "Well, we drank some when we were teenagers, we smoked a little pot, we didnt' wait until we were married to have sex.....so who are we to not expect that of our kids?" That's the totally wrong way to raise kids.
