Charlie if you'll go to page 3 of "Percentage of Iraqi Soldiers" thread I have several links posted there. There are dozens maybe hundreds of links with info regarding the difficulty in putting together an Iraqi army. They have 24 million people, geez, if they were so worried about a terrorist regime taking back over you think they'd be signing up by truckloads to form an army. But not the case. Not even close.

If all they had to worry about was whether terrorists would take over, and if we weren't there, and if it weren't often more effective (and maybe safer) to fight the terrorists out of a uniform, you might be right.

You have too many presumptions that aren't necessarily so.
