Default Pentagon: Russia Gave Saddam U.S. Intel

Quote:
WASHINGTON - The Russian government provided
Saddam Hussein with intelligence on U.S. military movements and plans during the opening days of the war in 2003, according to a
Pentagon report released Friday.
Unbelievable.

I've seen a few comments like this in various blogs...he was going to use the intel to crush us but we launched a major attack in a different area, using it for an advantage. The point is "allies" don't give enemies (or heck, anyone that is going to war with another of your allies) intelligence on the amount of soldiers, tanks, etc. as well as where they were going. To just shrug it off as "oh well, we didn't get hurt at all" is horribly wrong.

This is a main complaint of mine with the administration and past ones, something happens like this and the Pentagon announces it...after that nothing will happen. I'm not saying invade every (*)(*)(*)(*) country that messes up in any way but send out a signal that you will not tolerate this behavior and still be allies.

Unsurprisingly, Russia is denying the allegations:

Didn't Bush look deep into Putin's eyes and could tell he was a good man?

YEH!! I remember the W almost singing "look into your eyes"... and I believe that W referred to the KGB agent as having as “honest heart". Sure W a KGB and honest is an oxymoron.

You cannot trust any Russian, any where, nor at any time. These slugs were virtually all communists just 15 years ago. Who was W trying to kid besides the RNC parrots

I suppose we are not officially allies but I believe we have made deals in the past and compared to before 1990...
