Good anyone who uses her race like she does/is as an excuse for her actions needs to made an example of. Plus she's to be blunt one of the loons in Congress and if this forces her out so much the better for the nation as a whole. |

It's not hurting Republicans. It's hurting Dems.

Just as I stated earlier: Dems are not happy with Ms. McKinney. NOT because they are upset about what she did. BUT rather because they think she harms them policially.
McKinney is distraction, say the Dems By Josephine Hearn The bizarre scuffle Wednesday between Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) and an unnamed U.S. Capitol Police officer is winning the spirited congresswoman few new friends in her caucus. In fact, some Democrats are trying to distance themselves from her. McKinney has been aggressively publicizing the incident, calling press conferences on each of the past two business days and even attracting a mention on the front page of The New York Times, something that the dozens of House and Senate Democrats combined couldn’t match when they unveiled their homeland-security plan last week. Now, with McKinney facing a possible arrest warrant, the media frenzy is set only to escalate. The U.S. Capitol Police referred the issue to the U.S. District Attorney’s office for prosecution yesterday. All of the attention has some Democrats concerned that McKinney is drawing the limelight away from their policy goals and Republicans’ ethical missteps to focus on a momentary, disputed encounter in a Capitol Hill hallway. “There’s been a lot of eye-rolling,” said an aide to a moderate Democrat who spoke on condition of anonymity. “The national attention it’s been getting has been unfortunate. It’s becoming a distraction.” A Democratic strategist concurred. “This isn’t the view of Democrats that we want to project in the tough races, one of victims and race-baiting,” the strategist said." http://thehill.com/thehill/export/Th...406/news4.html So, will Ms. McKinney do the right thing for the Democrat party and resign.....like Tom Delay did for his party? OR at least STOP the race-baiting and apologize? Not on your life.

This could all be over with the viewing of the security videotape, we all know exists, from most likely several different angles, to determine who was being abused in this situation. Since security refuses to provide a copy of a tape of the incident we all know exists, and can/will only show the one where this U. S. Representative, easily walked past an un-manned security post, it can only be determined that if the security guard was at his post as he was supposed to be, this unfortunate confrontation wouldn't have ever happened in the first place!!
JP5 and DUH, do you mean to tell me that if this was in the private sector, and an authorized member of the board of directors, walked past an unmanned security check point, and was man handled because of the negligent actions of that security guard, that the security guard would not be dismissed immediately if not sooner from his present position???

McKinney is making an even bigger fool of herself in trying to make racism out of the guard's failure to recognize her when any reasonable person can see the drastic change in her appearance. Not only that, but she says she was in a hurry and on her cell phone, IIRC. That would lead me to think she did not look at the guard much at all, either to insure his recognition or to assist it. "Running late"? Kids in elementary school get detention for that.
The guards have a job to do. I hardly see how they can do it if they are going to be vilified for stopping a person they don't recognize because of skin color. I think she staged the whole thing. I get the feeling she wants fame more than anything. Martyrdom? She knew how different she looked. She knew she was not wearing the pin. She knew what they would do if she ignored them when they told her to stop. And, she knew they hadn't "nodded" her through. Either that, or she is just stupid.

Well, hey.....we all know she hates "whitey." AND J-E-W-S. So what can we expect from one of the biggest racists in Congress. They say even Nancy Pelosi no longer speaks to her because of her attitude.
