mr bush is perceived as being unable or unwilling to take any major step to address the problem. he's returning to a bygone age when all he had to say was 'guest worker program and citizenship' but he doesnt address the current problem of illegal aliens swarming over the unsecure borders and making demands that they have no right to make of us. if mr bush does not listen to laura and/or dick morris he's going to find out that the people that put him in office can also take him (and the party) out. i hope he wises up. pt

will serve out his term of office. But few, including increasingly his own party, really care what he thinks. His policies that he created in his first term will continue by inertia. Nothing new will be done even if, as I would guess, the Republicans remain in control of the Congress.
We will simply mark time until January 09.
