Default Now you're messin' with a son of a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)

Of course they did. Read the National Security Archive document. The war exercises sent an unambiguous signal to both the Soviet Union and Vietnam. You seem to be confusing common public knowledge at the time with geo-political brinksmanship.
Of course they didn't, no open threats there. Your inference does not equal open threat. Unless you are spokesperson for the Vietnamese government, all we have is YOUR (inherently biased) interpretation of what is and isn't a threat. The US and the Soviets traded nuclear tests tit for tat many times, those weren't threats either.

These games were focused on the Ho Chi Mihn trail.
So what? Games are games, focus is irrelevant.

You concede my point, again. You said initially that we had no plans to nuke Iran and you reverse yourself.
I don't contradict anything, can't help your inability to comprehend simple words. Or maybe it's a poorly concocted strawman. In any event, for the second time, an attack does not equal a nuclear attack. I concede an attack is possible, do not concede nuclear attack. I hope it sinks in better the second time you read it. An attack would be to rid themselves of nukes.

"And any attack on them would be to rid them of nukes." Rebellion. Here you contradict your own position. You concede the plan with a justification. Even Bush the Lame understands that they are years from developing fission weapons.
See the word "nuclear" before the word attack? No you do not. Who cares how long they are away from having the material. Waiting until they have it and the jack is out of the box is foolish.

I invite you to reread your postings.
You may want to consider your own advice.

Quote:
It has been the policy of the United States to never rule out a first strike.
And as you have apparently agreed, one that has never been given serious consideration in history.
