AH thats just talk...

Iran is probably saying it will up its support for Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad in exchange for increased attacks on Israelis if the Americans attack Iranian nuclear facilities. A reluctance to say they would sponsor more terrorism makes more sense than a threat to use non-existent nukes or direct attacks on Israel.

As of right now, Iran could give the material for a dirty bomb to anti-Israel or anti-American terrorists. In about three years, it could give them an atomic bomb. We have to destroy Iran's nuclear facilities- period.

force thats the same thing as saying we need to destroy our nuclear facilities because we could just as easily distribute them to other nations as well

and we have

just look at israel, they have a good handful of OUR nukes...

maybe we should practice what we preach and instead of forcing nuclear proliferation with threats, lead by example and show how a true world power acts and disarm our nuclear resources and just use our uranium for energy

but this will never happen, due to the irrational fear that other nations will attack us with nuclear weapons, even though we're the only nation that's used such weapons

just because they've never done it does not mean it will never happen. Ted Bundy had a first victim, yet at one time you could also make the claim "well Ted has yet to harm anybody." At one time Japan had never attacked the US, it doesn't mean (obviously) that it wouldn't happen.

The US will never be the first country to rid itself of nukes because then there will be other countries with them while we are without. That will never change nor would most Amercians want it to.

which is the rationale behind other nations not wanting to get rid of theirs, they don't like our imperialistic and preemptive practices, and we have nukes, how could they logically defend themselves against us without them?

the US has not threatened a nuke attack, unlike Iran. TheUS also hasn't called for the total destruction of a country, also unlike Iran.

The only nation that we give or share nuclear weapons with is the United Kingdom.


The nukes they have where developed indigenously and in concert with South Africa.

2. Leaked Pentagon plans describe an attack on Iran using nuclear weapons.
3. We had a standing threat for decades to reduce the Soviet Union to rubble.

We are the only country to drop nuclear weapons on a country.

We are a very credible threat.

Israel has threatened to use nuclear weapons on enemies.
Iranian neighbors, Pakistan and India, have threatened to nuke each other.
It is reasonable to expect Iran to want to have the capacity to threaten their enemies with the same weapons against which they are threatened.
