I don't care what he did in terms of boozing/etc in the past. Now if he murdered and ate people I would care.
I don't care what Rush or any other person did in the present or the past its irrelevant to this.

What I do care about is the FACT that Patrick Kennedy drove his car under the uinfluence of somehting. While doing so he had no headlights..almost hits a police car..proceeds to crash his car..then gets out of his car obviously under the influence of somethng..and what happenned???

Sobreity test?...nope
Blood test?..nope
Anything?..nope
The line officers are sent away and two sergeant give him a ride home!
THATS TOTAL BS!

How can any family (the men in it at least) be as sick and twisted as the Kennedys? They are poisonous scum. I'll take a page out of Mike Malloy's book (no, I'm not a fan) and start calling them the Kennedy crime gang. If the Democratic Party were the least bit responsible it would have cleaned them out of the party decades ago, but then again this is the same party that stood by Bill Clinton, one of the most evil politicians and certainly the worst President in American history. Before Democratic partisans attack me, though, I personally despise a number of Republicans as well.

I'd just like for once to see them be consistent. They shouldn't have one set of standards for Republicans....and a far more lenient one for Democrats. But they do!
How exactly have they shown a double standard? You can't compare corruption to driving under the influence.

Not all Republicans are corrupt (well, almost all politicians are, but I'm using a low standard here) and not all Democrats are Kennedys, but without a doubt many Democrats are hypocrites on issues of race (and gender as well). I've long been aware of that.

Ted Danson was 46 when he pulled his blackface stunt. No real excuse there, even though the fact that he was dating Whoopi kind of defused the "racist!" thing.

Funny thing, the offensive part about blackface was never merely blacking one's face: it was the exclusion of blacks from those roles, and the stereotypically racist portrayals that accompanied the roles. But the association is strong enough that it takes a real insensitivity to do blackface, for any reason.
he may have been in his 20's, but he did this AFTER he was elected. Pretty shameful for an elected official. I don't think he's changed much either, still an alcoholic.

The corruption part comes in getting a pass because your Daddy is Teddy Kennedy. I mean.....they drove him home, for heaven's sakes. They didn't even do a sobriety test or breathalizer test. And then Nancy Pelsoi nearly throws him a parade in his honor. That's corruption, at the highest levels.

And the double standard part comes in the fact that Pelosi would have been demanding a Republican leave Congress had it happened to a Republican. And you know she would have.

Default Someday

I will understand the fetish of conservatives for the Kennedy family. John and Robert have been dead nearly forty years. Hatred for their ideals should only last so long. Give it a rest, the whole family is politically meaningless and has been for decades.

Default talk to some conservative politicians

and see how influential the Kennedy's are. Only in extreme right wing fantasies do they have that influence any longer.

Do you spend much time reading the Protocols of the Elders of Zion or X-file episodes DUH? Your knowledge of the real world is remarkably limited. Even well read conservatives would blanch at your arguments. They are pure fantasy, and fantasy that is easy to disprove.
