Since you can bet your ass if they can demonize the US solder in a blanket manner without having to say it directly they will.

Knowing that guilt before innocence is their mantra I do not even suspect they will wait to...
1. Know anything definitive of the event.
2. Bother to care if how they protray it will be real or not.
3. Have any willingness to wait for a court of law to determine if anything did occur and if so that it was a crime.

Yep I'm not giving any specifics for a few reason 2 of them being...

1. You will know what I am referring to the moment you see/read/hear of it and that is almost assured to occur.

2. I don't know all the facts just the very basics. So I don't see a reason to put up unsubstantiated information so that people who know absolutely nothing can use it to bash like they would.

Don't know why these soldiers would do this. Sure they were attacked, but what I read about the incident, sounds like they then "got back" by murdering woman and children.

However, I also don't know why Murtha is escalating this. Yes it was initially covered up. If he was uncovering it, then fine. But it was already uncovered and an investigation started a while ago. So unless he thinks the investigation is going to cover it up again, I don't know why he is getting involved at the congressional level.

The US doesnt 'believe' in war crimes, and will not accept the International Court which prosecutes same (now I wonder why that is )....its called a 'free hand' to.....

Doesn't the fact that this is seriously being investigated by the DoD mean that there may at least be *some* credibility to the story...?

Dismissing this ahead of time because "you know how those gutless liberals will try to spin it" seems just as reactionary as what you are worried about.

Doesn't it also speak to the fact that it is not condoned as SOP?

The problem with the liberal spin is that they make an episode such as this into the rule rather than the exception.
