I'm a racist because I have the unreasonable expectation that people before being granted citizenship should be required to be able to speak and undertsand English?..or that English is this countries national language. ....Or am I racist because someones race baiting and trying to pander to the hispanic vote that the Democrats have lost? Either way to say its racist is simply nonsense. I doubt many(if any) nations on this planet allow you to become Citizens of their nation without being able to speak and understand their nations language. Quote:

Im not a racist, and Im not Teddy Roosevelt....
If people want to think or live or dream in some other language than English, in the great melting pot that is the modern world (which took its great impetus from the shining example given by the great melting pot society of the former US), then so be it. We are broader and deeper and richer for the cultural complexity that goes into the mix. This has been the great lesson of America; that one can go to a hub-corner in Chicago and Latvian is spoken in the store, in the Church, on the street. People seem to be getting vexed by a perceived Mexican-Latin invasion - do they not know that they are reacting from a position of supposed cultural-uniformity that never existed, and was never 'us' in the first place? They would dispense with that which made us particular, the very thing that made us different, the thing from which our 'strength' derives. The lesson we taught the world (and the world has paid attention) we are to unlearn now, ourselves? Sing the national anthem in Spanish, in whatever language....sing away! Let those who are frightened be frighted; they will be that way anyway....

30 million illegals in this country already, bankrupting hospitals, social services and exploding crime while their leaders in La Rasa talk about killing all the "gringos" and people are still making posts about how the U.S. is a "melting pot". Well the melting pot in boiling over and anyone with any brains knows it's time to turn the heat down before it burns down the whole house.

IOW apotropoxy your scared.
All the issues you mention barely get you guys any traction and pretty much nobody agrees with your solutions..now your faced with immigration an issue with which both the Far Left(you) and the Democrats have no real solutions for and when they do stand almost opposite pretty much to the entire populatons views. You can fight it..and lose. You can offer your solutions--and lose You can do nothing --and lose All and all this is an issue both you and the Democrats are going to be working hard to get off the table asap. |
