Oh, you mean the small subset of people that believes American only consists of a small subset of people?

In case you haven't figured it out yet Barney, George W Bush doesn't speak for "We the People". He only speaks for about a third of the population (according to the latest polls - what is it now, 37% or something?).

I have children (one, to be precise), and I can guarantee you that Bushie doesn't speak for me. And he doesn't speak for my wife, and he doesn't speak for my child.

In fact, as near as I can tell, he's doing everything he can to ensure that our son will end up in everlasting ignorance.

What's your version of national security? Flag-burning and gay marriage? Would it make you more comfortable if everyone shared your values? Or maybe it's "American might makes right"? Let's just rid of all the people who don't agree with us?

No a true American would have turned every stone over to find out just who was responsible for 9/11 and then went after them. Striking out at anyone and everyone after having a sham 9/11 investigation are the actions of a complete fool.

Fool, it is treasonous revealing national security secrets, secrets that are vitally important to the conduct of a war, to the enemy at a time of war. This is what the NY al-Times did, and they should be prosecuted for doing it.

And, at the rate they are losing subscribers, they will be dead of self-inflicted wounds very soon anyway.

The programs were authorized and enstated by the executive branch. How is this not Bush's fault?

Er.... I would have said it a little differently ( ), but yeah, I get the gist of your statement.

I might have used the word "over-reaction", maybe - something like that.

Also, in deference to both quotes (above), I'd probably say that "doing nothing" would be foolish, but "doing something unnecessary" would be foolish too (and, the latter certainly wouldn't equate with "aiding the enemy", although it "could" - but you'd have to show me the specifics on that one).

I'm not at all convinced that what the NYT did equates with "aiding the enemy". Any more than I'm convinced that what George Bush is doing, is not aiding the enemy.

So quit reading the liberal rags.
