Good thing the Times got to it first.
Otherwise they'd want to string up Robin Leach.

I listen to conservative radio in the car. On Sundays the station allows their one liberal host to speak his mind. Last Sunday he asked this question to one of his conservative callers; If you knew that your government was secretly setting up concentration camps for Muslims would you be a whistle-blower or would you keep it a secret? The conservative caller said he would keep it a secret.

Actually extremists from either side of the spectrum scare me. If I base my fears on how my family was treated by both the German-Nazi's and the filthy Russian Communists I would it was a near toss up. The Commie scum where at it longer and killed more of my family members than the Nazi's though.

Default G. Gordon Liddy told McVeigh what to do

something like, "get back at the government for Waco and Ruby Ridge"

"Shoot the ATF agents in the HEAD - don't aim for the "ATF" sign because they have vests on underneath"

IMAGINE if a liberal were to say that and then a bombing where children were killed happened......

We also have leftists saying violent campus riots are OK and should be condoned, despite the property damage. We have conservatives like myself saying the law must---MUST---be followed and these riots suppressed.

I will never support my tax dolars being used to keep rebuilding the same college, because ignorant sniveling college pukes do not want to follow the law.

Police actions are intended to stop that. At Kent State, it stopped a national ovement that would have gotten far, far worse unless examples were made. As it was, one of the Kent state shooters later said, very matter-of-factly, that it was "no different than cleaning a toilet." It was all in a day's work.

Can you show where someone said that? A violent protest is a problem that has to be managed. The question is whether such an event justifies deadly force.

Why not just drop a few 500-lb. bombs on the rioters? That'll suppress them.

The question is not whether the law should be followed. The question is how much force is justified in trying to enforce the law.

A reasonable point.... until you reach the conclusion that in order to avoid spending your tax dollars it's okay to kill a few people.

Uh, no. As I demonstrated over on the thread where this discussion began, Kent State made the situation *worse*, not better. It led directly to a nationwide student strike that shut down a thousand colleges. It fed anger that led to *more* violent protests, as well as helping turn public opinion against the war and raising sympathy for protesters.

Brilliant move, all the way around.
