Defeat Insurgency By Its Own Lethal Weapon
The Iraqi government should immediately pass a law directing drivers that when they park their vehicles, either the driver of the vehicle or at least one other person must be sitting in the front seat of the parked car. No standing or parked vehicle will be unoccupied. A vehicle that was abandoned by its driver and its occupants would immediately be seen by nearby commuters and would instantly trigger their quick distancing from it, as they will consider it to be, more likely than not, a car bomb... .... because sitting alone in a parked car waiting to be kidnapped is not a sensible idea,
... in all seriousness, i've heard stories of how people in mexico and south america, for example, shouldn't stop at stop signs at night in dangerous neighborhoods because hoodlums come up and rob them if they stop for even a second. So, immagine someone sitting in a parked car by a street, probably alone, in IRAQ, i don't see how this could possibly work. On the street is a dangerous place to be, cause someone can drive by in a car, do whatever they're gonna do, and then leave at 80 miles an hour with no time to react or catch them. In iraq, the bombings get more publicity but the shootings and the kidnappings are just as bad or worse.
