To clear it up I was laughing at spiro, rather than the content of his post. I dont see how he can be a hero, he was shot like a dog by his other inbreed american soldiers, it's hardly like american friendly fire in unusual! Americans have killed more British troops than Iraqis, thats how efficiant the US army is. The Brits even covered the top of their tanks with bright orange as there was less chance of them being killed by iraqis than americans.

You're right. And, it helps to remember that some of the soldiers are from the Northeast and California where daughters are generally off-limits to their fathers.

On topic, friendly fire is one of the dangers of war. It is sad, but not really unexpected.

2/ I have every reason to refer to American soldiers in derogatory terms, how else can you, when they killed more British troops than Iraqis, it's a good thing they done friendly fire on their own side for once to show how inept the US army is. (not even going into the hoards of civilians they killed) "I dont care about collateral damage, if you see 'anyone'...kill them" -US Major. I mean, jeezzz, the Brits painted their tanks bright orange it was so bad, that really says it all!

3/ Death in not heroic, it is your conduct in war that makes someone heroic, not just enlisting or dieing, he was shot like a dog by his own side, thats not heroic, thats a tragedy. In saying that, it was good as it now shows the American public just what other members of the coalition and Iraqi civilians have to endue when the Americans are in town!
