This guy beat a couple of girls with a metal stick and doesn't get jail time. I admit that jail would likely make him more racist, but did his sentence have anything to do with his family name? Is this normal for Boston? I don't care what his motive was unless it was defense. He needs to go to jail.

Another example of Democrats ignoring the Constitution, "No Cruel and Unusual Punishment."

Removing tattoes and being forced to go to re-education camp is unusual, instead of being punished for physical assault.

Not cruel OR unusual. By the way, he didn't have to accept it. He could have said no thanks I prefer jail. But like most white supremacists, underneath he is a coward. So he took the easy way out.

I agree 12th, he deserved jail. And yes this happens to often in Mass, light sentences for offenders. But at least in this instance he has to get the tats removed, that little bonus almost makes it worth it. Plus having to spend all that time around blacks will be harder in some ways than in prison where he'd spend his time protected by the AB.

It doesn't matter if it was his choice, the fact that DEMOCRATS proposed it as an alternative proves they do not believe in the Constitution.

So are they sentencing him for the crime he committed or what he thinks?

To me it seems they are sentencing him for what he thinks which is not what they should be doing.

In my first reading, I agreed with you. On my second, it appears he was using this as reverse humor, and frankly did a bad job at it.

The racist sees everything in that light. Look at the skinhead trolls running loose in this forum. People so bone-breakingly ignorant that we should charge them for burning good oxygen.

As for removing the tatoos, that's a good (and expensive) lesson. Even if he chooses dermabrasion, it'll take months to think this through.

These kinds of rehabilitative punishments sound really great on paper, but they almost never work. The only way you can rehabilitate anyone is if the person truly wishes to change. This guys gonna laugh his way through his punishment, and in five years, will be back causing trouble with his brothers. He should get jail time and some heavy fines.
