Sen. Joseph Biden says THAT HE WILL DO FINE IN a 2008 presidential primary against Democratic contenders from the South, becasue his home state of Delaware was a "slave state." Even if that is true, and if someone studies the history of racism, slavery, and reconstruction Joe B may have a point.

But Biden you never ever say something like that in public. Biden just made Willie Wonka look like a level headed blowhard.

I think the logic of Biden's advisors is as follows: JFK was the last northeastern democratic senator to win a presidential election (and even that was close). Therefore, to win the primary, Biden must distance himself from that label. But (*)(*)(*)(*).

Maybe his next move will be to say he wants to be a candidate for "guys with Confederate flags on their pickup trucks."
