I was simply shocked to know that administration of The New York Times web-site came to terms with their conscience to post a video showing the torture of some Chechen women allegedly accused of adultery. Hello-o! Why not confess at once - ‘yes, we are in cahoot with Chechen warlords’? This video is nothing but a field editing assembled by Chechen terrorists! I saw it several times on various pro-terrorist web-sites where it was aimed to show Chechen guerillas are mighty in their religious fanaticism and stick to their barbarous traditions. As far as I see, they have re-edited the video, added a few slides depicting Chechnya’s president Kadyrov and Putin, and heart-piercing off-screen voice. As if the poor woman was calling for some Sergey.... Bull(*)(*)(*)(*)! I think that this video was given to misinform as many people as possible and bring into discredit official Chechen republic authorities and its present leader Kadyrov! I guess the man has been rather successful if they’ve been so hard on him…
What’s striking is that NYT is based in USA, the country leading antiterrorist combat. It amounts to the betrayal of Bush’s policy. I’ve got only one clue to explain that. There’s been huge money involved in the matter. How much have those bloody mathafakas paid to NY Times site, I wonder?

Some small minority of Chchens may have performed an rare act of terrorism, one case being Beslan but for the most part the fight has been against Russian troops and Russians adults who have oppressed minorities such as Chechens for centuries.

So a few dead Russians is minor payback for all of the evil that Russia and Russians have caused over the centuries.

Chechnyans are in a tough spot.

They have been undermined by the fanatic types who did the Beslan Massacre and such...and thus lumped together with them.

SO now in this country the prevailing idea is what the Russians wants eveyrone to think. That is ALL Chechnyans are terrorists. This allows them a free rein. hey can burn a village and kill everyone in it(they have done this) and have it shrugged off now as just killing Terrorists.

Its very similar to to what Israel has managed with the Palestinians.

The allowing of Chechnyans back to their homeland after ther breakup of the USSR was one of the dumbest acts of the Russian Federation. It took Imperial Russia literally a couple hundred years to subdue that region..it took Stalin to finally deport the problems away to the far east.
IN a matter of a couple years feel good nonsense turned all that around.

You are correct about how the Russians paint a movement as terrorist. They ( Russians that is during WW II and beyond)did the same with the Baltic countries and Ukraine by labling their Nationalist movement as fascist by exaggerating complicity with Nazi's a million fold. The real truth was that the German used the Nationalist movements for their own objectives and the Nationalist movments thought thhat they had the political strenght to use the Nazi-Germans.

Interresting your blub about Chchen cleansing by Stalin. Stalin did Tatar cleansing in Kym ( the Crimea) also during WW II. Now Tatars have been moving back to Krym ( the Crimea) and are fighting the Russian colonists who replaced the Tatars and the Ukrainians who are starting to move into and back to Krym ( the Crimea).
