Default US 'threatened to bomb' Pakistan Pervez Musharraf says

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/5369198.stm

This is unbelievable that , President Pervez Musharraf would actually have the balls to say this when he is preparing to meet with Bush this Friday.

So WTFIUWT

Read this
Quote:
US 'threatened to bomb' Pakistan
The United States threatened to bomb Pakistan "back to the stone age" unless it joined the fight against al-Qaeda, President Pervez Musharraf says.
General Musharraf said the warning was delivered by former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage to Pakistan's intelligence director.
"I think it was a very rude remark," Mr Musharraf told CBS television.
Now did President Pervez Musharraf actually say this or is 60 Minutes of Lies making up a sensational story ?

I got this on BBC but I just noticed that CNN is carring this also. WTF

soon you will realise what we've been telling you. the administration is getting completely desperate, look: there was a meeting of about 150 leaders of different countries few days ago in Cuba, it was basically a meeting about what to do about US aggression. did you hear anything much about this on the media? no. something big is brewing, i wil admit i dont quite understand myself exactly what, but i think something like this:

someone is controlling US government completely. and trying to push them as far as possible, because if a big war breakes out, this secret organization will only profit, they will not lose if US will collapse. they control move money around, they will buy real estate and businesses dirt cheap in USA for the future, war is their harvest, you research the rest if you want to know. but this is nothing new, just not in the education books or on the media which they control. but its nothing new, they have been doing this for thowsands of years

I think that we should say that we will attack terrorists in Pakistan if need be. With or without their help. And if they do not co-operate, instead harboring terrorists. Then they have crossed the line.

So either Bush is a fool for calling Pakistan an ally in the war on terror if Musharraf made the story up, or Bush is crazy for threatening to bomb Pakistan.

I believe it. Bush did afterall say publicly that he is willing to invade Pakistan at any moment.

This should have all been handled more delicately by both leaders... instead we get macho posturing in front of the news cameras.

in & out, yes true... but technically if a foriegn military force operates in another country without permission of said country, it's an invasion. Heck, the US military can't even operate in any of the 50 states without permission from a governor.

Bottomline is dubya opened his mouth without thinking. Hell yah US forces should be able to go into P'stan... but he did not have to announce it to the whole world and make Musharraf look like a fool.

Same thing with the Bush Doctrine of military pre-emption. The US policy has never ruled out pre-emption, that option has always been there... but to announce it to the whole world was not necessary. Again, more of junior's useless macho posturing for the cameras. well, maybe not useless, it's actually detrimental to the USA imo.
