Default British Military Commander Supports Iraq Withdrawl.

This guy is head of the British Army. I think we can therefore safely assume he's no fool.

Default Top British officer say we exacerbate violence in Iraq

So the man in charge of British forces says we are exacerbating the violence in parts of Iraq. A majority of Iraqis support attacks on US and coalition forces. A majority of Iraqis say we are part of the problem and want us out of their country. Are we now only staying in Iraq to save the face of the politicians who started the war and are deluding themselves that we must "stay the course"?

Army could be broken by Iraq, warns chief offficer
By TIM SHIPMAN Last updated at 11:11am on 13th October 2006

The Army could 'break' if it is kept too long in Iraq and British troops should be withdrawn 'soon', the head of the Army has said today.

In a devastating broadside at Tony Blair's foreign policy, General Sir Richard Dannatt said: "I want an Army in five years time and 10 years time. Don't let's break it on this one. Let's keep an eye on time."

He lambasts Tony Blair's desire to forge a "liberal democracy" in Iraq as a "naive" failure and he warns that "whatever consent we may have had in the first place" from the Iraqi people "has largely turned to intolerance."

Default Yes

But I sure he will be swift-boated soon.

I respect the man for not having to retire to say anything, although he did backtrack some today and said "soon" meant a phased withdrawl over the next several years.

Default First the NIE; now the top British army commander

Clearly the Iraq war is a failure and the only question is (with 41 dead Americans over the last 13 days) is how many more brave soldiers are going to have to die before Bush & Co. admit their mistake?

Can we impeach this guy for murder (because leaving our troops in a country in civil war where none of the population -- other than the crooked politicians that we put in as puppets -- want our troops there) is nothing short of cold blooded murder.

Go kill ourselves? Why, when Bush is slowly but effectively killing our military for Osama.
