Not marriage, mind you, but "same rights and benefits enjoyed by married couples." A pretty darned good ruling if you ask me. I guess JP5's defense of queerdom will now go out the window. |

The ruling applies only to civil unions, not marriage. Most Republicans do not object to a civil union between homosexuals being lawful.
Nice little omission of some critical little details, beagle.

Civil unions ain't marriage. Moreover, Republicans have no objection to keeping this decision at the State level.

As long as gays have equal rights, does it even matter what it's called? For all purposes under the law it's marriage. The only difference is semantics. Like calling something a cat or a feline. Whatever. Six of one, half dozen of the other.

Being a member of the GOP is about as low as you can get as a person. Supporting the Bush administration even makes you worse. I don't consider you my country men. You are an evil that has infected America. I hope on day you pay for all of your transgressions, but it seems evil rules America these days. |
