Default ?

First of all, don't count your chickens so soon. I remember in 1994, the polls before that Congressional election showed Democrats would win. Then in the last couple days, the polls showed the Republicans had pulled ahead slightly. The ACTUAL results were that the REpublicans blew them out of the water.....totally surprising everyone.

So----like I said. It ain't over til the voting's done.

Default Voters are strange.

Voters are strange. Sometimes they will vote one party for Congress and turn around and put the other in for prez.

In Connecticut we have a high Democratic party registration but we have 3 out 5 Congressman/women/people-persons as Repubs and the Gov is a Repub but the State Senate has almost a 2:1 Demon to Repubtile ratio.

Oh yes, San Francisco. The second gayest location in the United States. Excellent... Soon, homosexuals (and bisexuals) will control the entire U.S.!

Nothing as bad as what Dems pulled after Newt became a poster boy for the Contract With America---and howled like banshees when Gingrich had divorce problems sounding a whole lot like a Democrat. Whew, what's familiar about that one, boys and girls?

Pelosi may have triangulated herself out of a job, and the slender but still possible chance exists that Dems could win the House but lose the Speaker role to....Hastert. Uh huh. Read up on it, it's a small but juicy possibility and it makes us cynics just gleam. That one would serve Pelosi right.

She is not yet guaranteed that job, and Dems eager to reposition their party to attract independent voters like myself have now got a real problem. Keep Pelosi, Dean, and all the other people who lost elections on a regular basis---or come toward center. The party wins if the liberals are brought to heel.

If Dems remain as far left as they have been, the GOP will keep attracting common-sense Americans. It's why they are now in power.
