Default Don't hate

Just thought I'd submit something probably not seen a lot here. I don't think Barbara did anything wrong.

Exactly. Heck, you could have gotten a picture of me having a beer while watching the Dallas Cowboys win on Sunday. Is Chewy a prude---never had a beer----never been to a tailgate party? Geez, Bush-haters are so very boring!!
For once we actually agree. If I would have been there I would have asked her to pass me one. Chewey, I think you could use a cold one.

Peace.

Default Same here

Same here. I only clicked on the thread thinking I'd see the former First Lady at a tailgate party, having an adult beverage. George and Barbara attend a bunch of Astros games, George was at the A&M - Nebraska game last Saturday, and they also attend nearly all the Texans home games.

Could you imagine the older Barbara Bush on a drunken rampage? She's crazy enough sober!
I'm reminded of the movie title Those Old Broads when I think of Barbara pere. In this case, the grand Ethel Merman kinda broad, magnificent and in full flower. The one you had no doubt kept the White House press corps in line during GHWB's own tenure there. Crazy like a fox, sir---crazy like a fox!

That said, I don't think there's much doubt that booze and GOP first ladies tend to go together. But even Betty Ford (or Pat Nixon) could not hold her hootch like Barbara the Great. Bring out the tequila shooters, and my money's on her.

Default so what

http://www.politicalforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=21950

about as relevant as that three-page thread above concerning a senator's adult son ... the one jp began. oh, the senator was a democrat - that was the difference.

there is so much worthy of discussion why would we concern ourselves that babs, an emancipated adult, is drinking?

JP how about the post thread you started about Senator Nelson's son!!!!!!
This thread is almost as relevent and thought provoking as yours. Both of your threads exhibit the epitome of advanced thinking and obviously provokes rational discourse of the most intellectual category. I am so proud of both of you.

No the difference was he was a 30 year old drunk that got arrested for 3 felony counts including battery of a police officer and resisting arrest the night of the election.

A Senators son being arrested for 3 felonies while trashed is more relevant and worthy of posting then a couple of pictures of one of Bush's daughters drinking BEER.

You and justabubba F100 really need to work on these things.............
