WASHINGTON (AP) - Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Friday she is certain the United States has made mistakes in the Iraq war, but the world will have to wait until she is out of government to learn what she thinks they were.

"When I'm back at Stanford University," she said, "I can look back and write books about what we might have done differently."

JP defends the undefensible The issue was not the military part of the war it was the planning for the occupatio, the peace, and reconstruction and integration of Iraqi forces (police/military) of Iraq into the "plan for war " is where the failure was.

Well, in some wars there were a lot more mistakes than in others! The balance sheet on this one is (*)(*)(*)(*) poor.

In related news, Condi says that the sky is blue and getting impaled by a cross bow arrow really hurts. But it's nice that she can see the giant load of crap in the room.

Trying to figure out the point of this thread. Condi made a benign and pretty bland statement. I guess there must be something sinister lurking there somewhere.

I suppose the big news is that now even the quintessential neo-con is recognizing that there were problems with the way the war was fought.
The statement itself was pretty bland. It's the person that makes it interesting.
