Default Military spending

A news article I recently read says that the U.S. Army is running out of money because $168 BILLION is not enough. Then I see from two TV spots that the Iraq war is costing 2.5 to 3 BILLION dollars a week...this is insanity considering the horrendous mess that's now existing there. It used to be a billion a week, now it's estimated to be up to 3 billion. So why hasn't the Bush administration come out and say so?... neocons hiding things again...so what else is new?

Btw, $3 billion a week comes out to $297,619 a minute, if my math is right...that's your hard earned tax dollars folks. Hell of a price to pay for a mess.

In recent weeks the look on 'Moe' Bush's face reminds me of a nine year old kid who just got into a pickle and doesn't know what to do next and can't believe what he thought was so just isn't so. Kind of like the look I saw on a neocon classmate in my recently adjourned Contemporary Middle East class when confronted with evidence and testimonies on a documentary that was counter to his beliefs: 'You can't handle the truth.'---Jack Nicholson's character in 'A Few Good Men'.

Actually, they aren't hiding anything. All the information is readily available.

We should know.

Also not sure how that relates to the Iraq War. But whatever. Seems to me if one is concerned about nukes one should worry about the people that, like, actually have them or are, like, actually trying to get them. Neither of which applies in any way, shape or form to Iraq. Which is why we invaded, of course.

We should know.
No modern city has ever been nuked. We have no way of knowing. But we can estimate.

We did. That was the point of inspections in Iraq. It is also the point of our confrontations with Iran. Where have you been?

What exactly did you think inspections were for?

What confrontations with Iran? You mean not talking to them and buying their oil?

You mean like the weapons inspectors who said Saddam was no threat?
You know that guy that every Con demonized before the War - Scott Ridder.

Ixtellor

P.S. Ridder was right and EVERY con was wrong.

Biological and chemical weapons. We all knew Iraq had no nukes or any nuke program. Of course, we also knew there was no hard evidence of WMD's, but there's no need rehashing that again. The inspections were to comply with UN resolutions. And he allowed lots of them. They found nothing. I guess there's a reason for that.........

US SAYS IRAQ STILL NOT COOPERATING WITH NUCLEAR INSPECTORS

By Judy Aita
USIA United Nations Correspondent

United Nations -- US Ambassador to the United Nations Bill Richardson
has dismissed efforts to end intrusive nuclear inspections in Iraq
because Baghdad is still not providing the UN with needed data on its
nuclear weapons programs.

Yeah, lets just ignore all the times he interfered...I am sure he had nothing to hide. Ignore those burning papers. It was all a coincidence.

Well by all means show me the WMD's. Because the lack thereof is pretty strong evidence he was in fact hiding nothing.

Oh, in case you missed it:

http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/meast/...ons/index.html

Quote:
BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- The U.N. agency searching for evidence of a nuclear weapons program in Iraq said Monday that so far it has not found evidence of one.

Mohamed ElBaradei, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said inspectors have found no proof that Iraq lied about nuclear weapons in its declaration on weapons of mass destruction presented to the United Nations.
