We had a nice thing going back in the 60’s and 70’s. The spirit was right on though the culture was young and naive - foolish and gullible. So of course the “empire struck back” with their first eternal war* - the “war on drugs”. It made it easier to target, register and hinder souls deemed too free and aware, even though they posed no threat to fellow human beings and were too nature conscious for big industry. Naturally it did nothing to hinder drug related problems. On the contrary. But it was a tool of mass destruction for the establishment to brake the momentum of the freedom revolution.
As Hunter S Thompson put it: “We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave. So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark .. the place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.”. It’s a shame people are so nostalgic when it comes to this period. That spirit never left. It still dwells in all of us. All we need to do is believe. After director driven movies came to a climax with Star Wars in the late 70’s the movie corporations had pretty much figured out the formula for how to make a profitable movie. They started getting a hang of what sells and what doesn’t. So naturally they intruded the creative process and started making more demands on the movies they financed. After taking out the liabilities Bob Marley and John Lennon the time was right to launch MTV and Herb Bush (God has a sense of humor). It was the establishments strategy to strangle the spirit of the revolution. A monopoly pop culture shaper that could fairly freely choose “harmless” artists for the, ever more, dumbed down audience. The artists were shackled down by censoring forbidden “obscene” words, the topic of drugs, guns and violence, sex etc. In other words what, to a large extent, defined the rebellious dimension of the revolution - the reality on the streets. The opportunity for serious artists who wanted to reflect real life in their art was restricted, while the corporations pushed ACTS like Rick Astley and Wham. Performers that seemed almost hand picked by the Reagan/Bush administration personally. Irresponsibly advertising products like light colas, fast foods and other crap, without a doubt harmful to the people. The least a celebrity, who has the resources, should be expected to do is make sure they can rationally morally and ethically defend the companies and products they’re endorsing. Signing an advertisement deal without being confident the product is good for your fans is both prostitution and lying - sadly to the people who trust you the most. Under heavy bombardment of mediocre hacks, law suites against artists and in the stranglehold of conglomerate controlled censored mainstream media our war heroes not only held their ground but were constantly able to push the envelope of magic far enough to survive the satanic 80’s. The corporations made some late radical attempts to lower the standards of quality with Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer but were quickly shot down. Grunge - This is how your society makes me feel. Unappreciated, worthless, dirty, insane… So now deal with it. Kurt Cobain obviously incarnated this emotion. Rap - This is what your society has made everyday life for poor people. Violent, criminal, painful, chaotic… So now deal with it. 2Pac, mostly, self incarnated and presented this part of American life to a broader audience. The world most underestimated amusement engineer and political educator, Bill Hicks, silently slipped over to spirit zone a month before Kurt felt mission accomplished. First we lost Eazy, then we lost Pac, then BIGgy got shot - when’s this (*)(*)(*)(*) gonna stop?! Seems someone behind the curtains are leading our leaders of the stage. While our miss leaders (politicians etc.) further hollow out the music scene to a shallow shell. When it comes to rap 50cent is the culmination of the blunt-booty-bling-bentler genre, which P Diddy pioneered after he was thrown in a leadership role he was poorly prepared for. This of course due to the death of Notorious BIG. Puff Daddy was the skinny, playful, (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)ty beat and sample prodigy. Like Robin to Batman. That smooth, cool, gangsta tough, confident Diddy is mostly a front. Drop it man! It doesn’t do you justice and you don’t do it justice. “Vote or Die”… Come on man. You know a bad association will keep people from buying the product. Say “Vote or Die” and people are gonna associate voting with death bone head. Well now were in an age where the record companies have started figuring out what sells, and we’re over flooded with no talent, fronting fakes just in it for the wrong reasons. The producers took over the scene and manufactured what many of us have been subconsciously praying for - choreographed/controlled sexual objects. It started with the Monkeys but now they’re everywhere. The true talent used to go hand in hand with a message and a mission. We used to demand that as talent not used to promote love and truth is wasted talent. Speaking genuine truth about issues that matter and breaking pretentious cliche love lyrics to expose the infinite, universal, personal and every imaginable dimension of love, seems to be a bit of a taboo still. When it comes to openness, honesty, balls, heart, conscience and true spiritual values this revolution has been in a regression since the introduction of MTV. It’s time to take it back. Take back the spirit of our revolution, the name of Yeshua God’s anointed one. I feel sick watching this world in turmOIL and people claim it’s all in the name of love and truth - In the name of God. We must do all we can to reintroduce God to humanity, and remember that the ways don’t justify the means. This is a Love Revolution all the way. Message - spiced up and stretched out and colored in any imaginable way through music and all others means. Second Wave! Let’s Rock n Roll *Eternal war: A strategic plan of “solving” a threat/problem. What makes these wars “eternal ” is that the values, views, approaches and methods chosen as primary solutions cause the original threat to grow and complicates the problem. So a vicious cycle is formed where there will always be a need for the equipment and resources used to fight the war as they guarantee the problem stays permanent. Examples “War on Drugs”, “War on Terrorism”. Unexpected outcome - The roman empire painted an image of a christian threat within the empire - enemy=fear. It was an ever present enemy, could be anyone, anywhere - always a reason to fear. They were portrayed as rebellious, insane, terrorists, unpredictable and dangerous. To counter balance the fear felt by the people by the threat scenario, a primitive way of dealing with the fear and releasing the hate was needed. In arenas the citizens could sadistically enjoy violence, danger, executions, death to sense the fear of others. That gave the masses a feeling of superiority, security and a momentary sense of victory over fear = the enemy. When there’s enough drama on the ground the masses don’t allow dissent against the ruling elite that is the only “realistic” protector against the threat and punisher of the enemy. That all changed with the Christians. It’s all about emotions - God is Love:One Love! Evil’s strategy is divide and rule, and it’s ultimate goal is eternal separation and conflict - war. Evil thrives on fear and enjoys suffering. Evil is addicted and the abuse is poorly treated. It devotes it’s all to increasing the dose of suffering to satisfy it’s unlimited craving. A craving which directly violates 99% of earth’s population, and inevitably devours it’s believers. As any addict, with the worst possible values I should add, evil will without doubt manipulate, cheat, lie and anything else to force animosity between god’s children. Evil is what it is - a force for separating all humanity by fear, and it fills a non replaceable purpose. How we fulfill our history to exercise/excorcise evil, and grow to understand that choosing good is a now-brainer choice in the eternal/objective perspective. as one humanity is the sum of every single choice every person makes and will do anything for it to continue. By “this world” I mean what you see on the news - war, famine, drought, disease aso. That is what the revelations of st John calls the “old world”, and is named and described in all (major) religions as a dark age when Evil naturally annihilates itself by nurturing the culture of truth and love. The true sleeping giant that just about to open it’s eyes, pick up a news paper and beat the crap out of the fly that’s been bugging it all night. |
