Default Does anyone even care that Paul Johnson is going to die?

Quote:
(Paul) Johnson, who works on military helicopters for Lockheed Martin, was snatched off a street in Riyadh June 12 by Al Qaeda terrorists.

The kidnappers released a videotape Tuesday showing a blindfolded Johnson surrounded by gunmen, and set a 72-hour deadline for the Saudi government to release their imprisoned comrades or see Johnson die.
This is just another example of the depth of the terrorists cruelty. This is an innocent man they hold...that they are going to murder today. He has done nothing wrong to them. He is not in the military. All he does is work on helicopters. This is a man who respects their country, their religion, & the their people. And yet, these animals are going to slaughter this man in cold blood. A father, a grandfather. This man's life is going to be snuffed out at the hands of filthy creatures.

I for one hope they all rot in the deepest depths of Hell. They believe that they are doing God's work...that to kill this man will put them one step closer to Paradise. I say it only brings these monsters one step closer to burning in Hell.

My heart goes out to Paul Johnson's family & friends. I will pray for him today. I will pray that he dies quickly so as not to have to suffer their tortures long.

Not a single person on this board can justify this man's death or in any way place blame on anyone save the monsters who are going to kill him. So at least, for the sake of this man's life & his soul, don't disrespect him with your silly conspiracy theories & Bush-Bashing on this thread.

Try just saying a simply pray for him & his family.

It is a shame that President Bush's fiasco in Iraq has led to this kind of terrible tragedy. I am behind you 100% on this.

Default No anti-Bush propganda here. Thank you.

And yet you still managed to write something against Bush when I have specifically wrote that this was not the place for it. This is a thread I ask to be used to strictly honor Paul Johnson on this terrible day.

Please start your own thread if you want to use Johnson's death as yet another springboard to bash Bush in anyway shape or form. Please keep all refrences to Bush or "Bush's War" off of this thread.

Thank you.

This sort of thing would happen regardless of if we were in Iraq or not. Remember, what do the terrorists want? They want the Saudi government to release Saudi prisoners who are connected with Al Quaeda. For once, please open your mind and understand that the enemies are the terrorists and not the Bush administration.

Which is exactly why I started this thread. To leave out all the political propaganda & just honor this poor man who has but moments left to his life (if they have not slaughtered him already).

So again I beg...please leave your anti-Bush, anti-America propaganda at the door & try to just honor Johnson here, an innocent man who is set to die a horrible, unspeakable, & unimaginable death at the hands of filthy monsters.

Thank you again.

Paul Johnson...my heart is with you. May you travel on swift wings to Heaven.

Default I find myself agreeing with Hans on this issue..

He would have been taken hostage whether we were involved in Dick and George's Excellent Iraqi Adventure or not...And the bigger issue is that he is in Saudi Arabia.

It is waaaaaaaaaaaaay past the time when the US, and specifically georgie-boy needs to explain the facts of life to the House of Saud. This kind of thing is NOT acceptable, and the ramifications for the host country will be severe...I am rapidly losing patience with SA, and bush's inaction relating to that kingdom...

Raven didn't mention anything about the war, yet you used this as another opportunity to bash Bush about it. You were not agreeing, and you know it.

but my father could very well be one of those contractors getting kidnapped you hear about all the time. He goes to the Kingdom many times a year, and it is a very scary thing for my family. The good thing is that the Saudi's are actually more bold at fighting terror than we are, but their are also more terrorists over there, and they hate the Saudi government just about as much as they hate the US government.
