For this case I simply don't know what the avarage Koreans opinon are about sending troops to Iraq. By chance, are there any Korean here that can give us some insight into this?
Well the fact that South Koreans now hold the North Koreans in a more favorable light than Americans probably says something. I'm mean sure, the North Koreans are communist who are arming themselves with Nuclear Weapons and want to invade South Korea, but they sure are better than those (*)(*)(*)(*) Americans. Thats pretty sad, the US needs to hire a new marketing and advertising agency.

ARe you smoking crack? What makes you think that they believe the North Koreans are more favorable than the US? That's complete BS.
The United States is the only thing standing in the way of North Korea expanding its territory into South Korea. I did ask my Uncle's wife who was born in South Korea and he met her while stationed there and she said South Koreans love Americans and America so much so they all want to come here and live.

Default I don't know about that

Aznar was going to win according to every poll I saw prior to the train bombing. I posted several links to this once upon a time.

In South Korea the older people all love us because they understand they'd be living in a Communist country under a despot leader if we hadn't stepped in. The younger people have only read about this in history books and don't understand what the US did for them. Plus when you're young it's easier to be idealistic than realistic.

Default ...

South Korea is not a pushover, it could manage without the US against North Korean aggression.

As for the "who they prefer" thing, there is a love-hate relationship with the Americans. Some hate the US military presence, but don't want it to go. Others love the US, and go and study there, and perhaps become naturalized US citizens. But recently the relations between North and South have improved, though I still doubt that Koreans would prefer the North over the US.

Rebellion, South Korea was a military dictatorship until the late 80's. They were under despots, just not under worse communist despots.

You don't really believe that, do you? That's just worthless polling. I bet you if I went around Europe polling people, "What do you think is the biggest threat to world peace, North Korea, or Starbucks?" I might get a majority to say Starbucks, not because they really think so, but because they want to make a statement against Starbucks.

If you don't like Starbucks, then insert McDonalds or Halliburton.

What you mean is that they live american money and jons very much, surprising how they want to live in america to love them rather than stay in korean and love them.

Default They stop when we stop

If it saves even 100 Iraqi lives then I say we do what they want. Nothing compared to American actions anyhow.
