Default Near total chaos

How many attacks, how many killed just in the last 48 hours. 10 to 40,000 protesting the criminal W in Turkey.
What good are we doing restraining the military and letting chaos rule, while hundreds of people are killed each week ? What good would be done by unleashing the military, and basically killing everyone in some of those totally out of control towns ? We are now acomplishing nothing except creating greater hatred towards the States. Wake up W, we are not creating even a start of middle east peace.
16 people in Afghanistan (remember that place W) killed by the Taliban today because they were registered to vote.
Then to read he has spent over 70 million on his campaign, it is all beyond sad.

People being killed because they want to exercise their right to vote? Seems like more of a reason than ever to make sure they get that right!

Default Thank God for Such Favors

Exactly Therese. Too bad some people don't understand the importance of what is happening here. I guess to this person....if a group of terrorists tells him/her not to vote, she'll just stay home and do as they say. All I can say is Thank God that there aren't many who intend to be willing to live this way.

What would be the point in that??? Half the eligible voters in the U.S. don't vote as is. Course, to people who care more about foreign nations than they do their own country, I guess that's not a problem.

Default COMING HOME

Unfortunately, we CANNOT pull the troops now. This administration has bungled this effort so much that we have to basically "get on our knees and scrub this we get it clean". Hopefully, we can get NATO to help. We cannot do it by ourselves.

Its a noble idea trying to promote freedom around the world. Very noble.. But we should do it right by listening to people who have lived in this region. Plus we should not try to promote OUR kind of democracy because it will not work in the Middle East. Religion is such and integral part of that culture and remember, our democracy is SUPPOSED to have that separation of Church and State (Although the Bush administration is now asking Pastors to "convince" their congregations to vote for them: My church being an example)

In any case, we have to make it work. Powell was right! We have "broken it"!! Its now ours!!
