Ah crap... I was hoping this thread was going to be about introducing plant life into the city of Detroit.

As for green vehicles... you would think that with the amount of $$ that passes through the hands of these companies they could hire some marketers to improve their image. I mean come on-- OLDsmobile?? What kind of name is that? It's a half step above "Grannymobile" -- how long did it take them to figure that out?

Not a bad idea... but first they need to knock down all the old buildings and crackhouses (I often imagine that some of the buildings downtown are crack-office suites).
Though I must admit that the casino revenue is making Detroit a little less of a hellhole (while Michigan's credit rating is going down, Detroit's is going up slightly). For all his corruption at least Kwame seems to be presiding over a growth period for Detroit, making him an improvement over Coleman Young who was both corrupt and presided over a hellbound Detroit...
But what can you do? Their opponents, despite being African American Democrats... were white and thus not to be trusted.
I'm not sure why. Frankly I tend to distrust people who claim that African American men are white. Oh well.
