Finally. Bush has flushed democracy down the toilet.
Supposedly Guantanamo is reserved for the worst of the worst. Instead of getting new information from foot soldiers like 15 year old detainee Omar and going after mid-level and senior members of Al Qaeda, the U.S. is squandering resources and reputation on trying a kid? sigh...what a waste |

The waste is, how you pukes defend this vermin. you lefty loons are amazing. You have no idea who these less than human vile are, yet you are ready to stand by their innocence. I can only hope you are as vocal in public as you are on this forum about this issue.

^ Wow, you are really gullible! Do you also believe Bush when he ineptly said "my English is bad?" Bush said he would like to see Guantanamo closed in June 2006. In September 2006, he had additional 14 high value detainees transferred to Guantanamo. You still believe him?
When it comes to most of these prisoners, what's really been at stake is W's need to save face by concealing the utter ineptitude of the White House. When an administration defiantly adverse to ever admitting error decided not to send home those who had been seized by mistake (chauffeurs, kids, mentally deranged), it set itself a trap that it has been unable to escape to this day. Sen. McCain suggested Fort Leavenworth in Kansas; Congressman Moran has urged military brigs in the five states within the jurisdiction of the extremely conservative 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. Those at Gitmo convicted of crimes should serve their sentences in U.S. military prisons on U.S. soil. |

100 detainees who have been cleared for transfer or release from Guantanamo already. The Bush administration is already releasing the wrongly detained. Detainee by detainee, it has been quietly whittling away at its mistakes, sending home 385 detainees who look no more or less guilty than those remaining in custody. |

This all from the man who got his little teaspoons out in the u.n in 02/03 pronouncing to the world why we should invade Iraq. Gimme a break, this guy is a follower, not a leader. He's a poodle, but with a lot less charisma than Blair, thank god he never became president! He'll do anything for power!
