I actually celebrate the gumption of the junior GOP. I'm just a little disappointed that the bill didn't pass though? Can't you understand the idea of a person being able to see BOTH sides of an issue? That's where I am on this one. I didn't think the bill was perfect, but was willing to have it pass and tweak it later as needed. As is, we sit for at least another 2 years with no change.

Many Dem leaders didn't really want it either. They just talked as if they did. As you said----they didn't try very hard as they think they'll keep the hispanic vote this way. They are the worst worms. They didn't try very hard to pass it....and now are claiming it's a failure of George Bush. Go figure. It's all about politics with them; NEVER about what's best for the country.
