    Default Obama polling like Carter

    Obama polling like Carter

    By BYRON TAU | 12/02/11 6:40 AM

Gallup has some historical perspective on President Obama's current 43 percent approval rating. The polling firm finds that only Jimmy Carter had an approval rating lower at this point in his presidency:

President Obama's 43% average job approval rating last month ranks as one of the lowest for an elected president in November of his third year in office. Only Jimmy Carter had a lower rating, at 40%. But Carter's rating surged in late November 1979 because of a rally in support after the onset of the Iranian Hostage Crisis, and he averaged above 50% in December. All recently elected presidents were at or above 50% in December of their third year in office.

Obama's right on track isn't he. The similarities go further than just the polling. Jimmy Carter had a stimulus that failed, Obama has a stimulus that failed. Carter had an energy policy that failed, Obama has an energy policy that's failing. Carter had a foreign policy that failed, Obama has a foreign policy that's failing as we speak. Radical Islam taking over countries that formerly weren't radical with Obama's support and blessing. Eerie, how history repeats itself.

    Then why worry?
any of the losers in the GOP presidential candidates pool should have an easy time getting elected, right?

Except that Obama is still ahead or head to head against EACH ONE of the GOP candidates.

so, why don't we see what happens on november 2, 2012?

Obama has nothing to run on. We already see the Obama Character Assassination machine cranking up. Look at what Obama's liberal media did to Cain

Obama has been a disaster for the American people. America has been rudderless for three critical years.

I wonder if Carter will be out trying to campaign for Obama.

Obama is toxic and many senate and house members are not with him at events he is hosting in their own states.

The only good thing I can say about Carter, is I don't think he purposely tried to destroy the economy, wish I could say the same about Ubama.
If it sounds like Marx and acts like Stalin...it must be Obama

Carter legalized homebrewing, as well. As terrible of a POTUS as he was, I will always be grateful for him doing this.

"Governments are not always overthrown by direct and open assaults. They are not always battered down by the arms of conquerors, or the successful daring of usurpers. There is often concealed the dry rot, which eats into the vitals, when all is fair and stately on the outside. And to republics this has been the more common and fatal disease. The continual drippings of corruption may wear away the solid rock, when the tempest has failed to overturn it." - Joseph Story, 1829
