Default War protest

Where's the "mainstream" media??? Busy covering OJ.

Quote:
Thousands of protesters marched through the streets of Washington today, from near the White House to the Capitol, where they staged a "die-in" to demonstrate their fervent opposition to the war in Iraq.

Protesters and counter-protesters started to gather by 8:30 a.m. for the first major anti-war protest in Washington since January, which is expected to be followed by a week of civil disobedience in the area intended to shift the anti-war movement to a more confrontational phase. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...091500953.html

It got the coverage it deserved and that was too much as it was.

She was there along with 100,000 other Americans.

As you can see, it was massive.

How may where telling that ridiculously inflated number to go to hell?
..or we including them to make it look bigger like usual?

Saying it wasn't covered by the media is interesting considering it was all over the place. Until they found something more important and worhtwhile to cover..aka OJ.

IE FOX spent alot (to much) of time covering it....

...and you KNOW there were some folks there, off to the side, who were supporting the war. If you think the "die-in" retards got a lot of pub, these folks got NONE. Pro-war folks NEVER get any pub.

I was there, I saw the pro-war group (approx 1,000. maybe less.) Not much of a showing. By the end of the day, they chose to stand at the intersection and harass people that were leaving. It was pathetic. Here's an example:

Default Do well to consider

While I admire your passion for your cause, you may want to consider something. All these folks that carry signs and protest do more harm than good, more so than you know, to the men and women deployed all over the world defending the very freedoms that allow you to do just what it is you did today. In some cases, many good men and and women have died, you might have taken the time to walk across the bridge to Arlington and taken a look at what the REAL cost of Freedom is rather than preforming some silly ass die-in that was I can well imagine dreamed up by some burnt out former 60's moron wanting to relive his or her glory days and good people like you have bought into it. Look, let me give you an example, when someone is deployed overseas, away from his or her loved ones, they usually focus on few things, the job, his her or family and how (*)(*)(*)(*) much they they miss them, and home. The last one is important too, because imagine a daily grind hours of upon hours of combat time, stress and then you see a TV and you get to see someone like you protesting the very job , someon like me used to put their lives on the line for, thenyou will get some idea of what you are doing. You want to do something good, go to Arlington and hold a "thank you" protest for all those men and women who lay there and gave up their lives so that you can enjoy your freedoms.

"I'm sure you mean well"....blah blah blah

Bull crap! You think I'd listen to someone spewing this type of rhetoric? Here's what you sound like to me ---> "I believe in freedom, but you are damaging our nation so DON'T express your beliefs, keep your mouth shut!"

Well here we go, no I was trying to give you an appreciation of what your protests are really doing, but if you want to take it that way , thats fine. I'm frankly not surprised that someone of your ilk would not give a (*)(*)(*)(*) about the very people that defend the Freedoms you enjoy as long as you get your message across. Exactly what is it do you think, people in the US Military and Civilian Services are doing in combat at this very moment? They are there to defend your right to do what it is you did today!!! I tried to give you an appreciation of how you are percieved, but I guess the people that defend the very Freedoms you enjoy don't mean crap to you and thats fine. You can go on with the Die-Ins but believe me I know the type, you assume that people like me want to take away your freedom(s), to stage die-ins, burn the flag, and treat service men and women with disdain when in fact, I tried to give you a DEEP appreciation that the protest you enjoed was brought to you by the blood of those very same people.
