Democrats Abandoning Millionaire Surtax Proposal

The clock is ticking. Can any of you liberals please tell us why the democrats refuse to discuss a balanced budget amendment? I am curious why you wouldn't want our politicians to be accountable and responsible with our tax dollars.

Also Wednesday, the Senate rejected rival Republican and Democratic proposals to amend the Constitution to require a balanced federal budget.
