This "Law of the Sea" treaty is currently being "hastily" pushed through the Senate. This is like the "final" step in ratification. so if it passes the Senate it becomes law, 'cause Bushie has been pushing this thing.

You know, so this depends on "voluntary cooperation" by nations, and of course the Europeans will probably do their best and so on, but the Cubans and Venezuelans will probably try to stick a big middle finger in everyone's eye, and go do what they want anyway, in spite of what it says in any treaty - so.....

It appears the WorldNet article came out before the story broke on the scandal. I checked the Senate Vote Database and to date, it never made it to the Senate floor for a vote.
