Interesting Edwards would be quoted as saying "There are no free meals" in an article where all he does is talk about handing out free meals.

Edwards is an interesting cat. He's trying to appeal to lower-to-middle class working people, kinda thing, and his message seems to be mostly resonating down in the South, where the people have kind of a 'different" attitude about what they expect from government.

Ordinarily, I'd think a guy like that would get "near-zero" political traction in the real world, but there's obviously a lot of people that think like that, so.....

Edwards would be an interesting choice as Hillary's veep, but I really do think that story about those 400 dollar haircuts kinda ruined his national chances (I mean, "on his own" and so on)....

The meals weren't free. Someone paid for them.
