The guy that repealed Glass-Steagall, lobbied for the Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 by intimidating Brooksley Borne to her knees, and participated in the financial business model that destroyed the economy is going to head an international finance fund? He gets support from those on the left that forward a crony capitalist economy. I consider Bill Clinton to be a good President, but one of his biggest mistakes was giving in to Congressional Republicans on financial deregulation. Since then, Democrats have been caught in an unholy alliance with finance. Before then, the biggest mistake by Democrats in regards to financial legislation was the passage of the CRA.
