The media gave newt the victory much like they will give Obama the victory. What % of the minority voters came out and voted in SC?

Newt does a good job of attracting a certain crowd. Outside of that bubble he fails. Its why he has only done well in SC and so far nowhere else.

It's an open primary in S.C.
INEPTOCRACY - A system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least like to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with the goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

And trying to compare his situation with Clinton’s will never work. Clinton was a sitting president when Linda Trip secretly recorded her conversations with Monica Lewinski. Many Americans believed that Clinton was set up. And Clinton managed to stay married.

Many women ( especially those who are independent voters) will not trust a self proclaimed womanizer before he gets into office.
You are right. The Clinton comparison does not work. Gingrich is not accused of committing any crimes, whereas Clinton was not being impeached for a private sexual affair, but for breaking multiple felony offenses while commander in chief.

Frankly, I don't care if her accusations are true. Why? Because it is a private sexual matter. I don't see Gingrich making the same Clintonian mistakes, like:

    (1) On or about December 17, 1997, William Jefferson Clinton corruptly encouraged a witness in a Federal civil rights action brought against him to execute a sworn affidavit in that proceeding that he knew to be perjurious, false and misleading.
    (2) On or about December 17, 1997, William Jefferson Clinton corruptly encouraged a witness in a Federal civil rights action brought against him to give perjurious, false and misleading testimony if and when called to testify personally in that proceeding.

    (3) On or about December 28, 1997, William Jefferson Clinton corruptly engaged in, encouraged, or supported a scheme to conceal evidence that had been subpoenaed in a Federal civil rights action brought against him.

    (4) Beginning on or about December 7, 1997, and continuing through and including January 14, 1998, William Jefferson Clinton intensified and succeeded in an effort to secure job assistance to a witness in a Federal civil rights action brought against him in order to corruptly prevent the truthful testimony of that witness in that proceeding at a time when the truthful testimony of that witness would have been harmful to him.

    (5) On January 17, 1998, at his deposition in a Federal civil rights action brought against him, William Jefferson Clinton corruptly allowed his attorney to make false and misleading statements to a Federal judge characterizing an affidavit, in order to prevent questioning deemed relevant by the judge. Such false and misleading statements were subsequently acknowledged by his attorney in a communication to that judge.

    (6) On or about January 18 and January 20-21, 1998, William Jefferson Clinton related a false and misleading account of events relevant to a Federal civil rights action brought against him to a potential witness in that proceeding, in order to corruptly influence the testimony of that witness.

    (7) On or about January 21, 23, and 26, 1998, William Jefferson Clinton made false and misleading statements to potential witnesses in a Federal grand jury proceeding in order to corruptly influence the testimony of those witnesses. The false and misleading statements made by William Jefferson Clinton were repeated by the witnesses to the grand jury, causing the grand jury to receive false and misleading information.

And that is only 7 of what 30, 40, 50 charges originally considered in the House? Then the Senate only voted on 3 of the 7. (He was obviously guilty of all 7).

I hate to tell you this, but Newt would embarrass Obama in a debate, completely.

I'd be pissing my pants if I were a dem strategist. Newt has not only shown he can take on a political opponent, but also the media. That's scary.

If democrats think Newt will be so easy to beat, they should be sending him money to help him beat Romney.

Bull(*)(*)(*)(*), the media did everything they could to make sure Romney won. CNN in particular tried to kill Newt's possibility of getting elected with their gotcha questions. The liberal media is demonizing everyone up there but laying off of Romney so he can win.

this is why he won SC however Newt destroying Obama in a debate will not win him POTUS. Independents will. And right now, the minorities are not fans of NEWT nor is independents. We need someone to apeal to all americans not just soicial conservitives. We need someone that can get the latino and black vote away from Obama, because Obama already has them. Newt might destroy Obama in a debate but the media will destroy newt in the election.

    Good luck with that.

Why? All of the candidates are just about even on how they've placed so far. Newt placed 4th in Iowa and 5th in NH. Santorum was 4th in NH and will place 3rd in SC. Paul has placed 3rd, 2nd, and 4th, respectively.
