We can't, given our current world popularity, it would be just plain arrogant and stupid to do so, besides they are no threat to us, only to Israel.

Crestwood, Iraq was no threat to us either but here we are tearing it all to pieces so it is likely we will be doing the same to Iran as long as "Stupid" is in the White House. I wish the hell someone would give him a blow job so we can impeach the son of a beetch and I bet no one will try to save him like all the people rose up and demand for Clinton not to be impeach.

I disagree.
We should do what we can to keep Israel from attacking while the rest of the world works on a diplomatic solution... or else work with deterrence like with every other nuclear country. I'm sick and tired of people using Israel's paranoia as an influence for us. Yes, Israel has good reason to be paranoid. Our place is to be the outside presence with a bit more of a moderating stance. Rather than allowing Israel to attack and then getting drawn in to follow suit, we should try to keep insanity from breaking loose as much as we can.

One of the main problems Israel has, is that the world has a much lower tolerance to Israeli military action. I (personally) believe that if it comes to it, they should find whatever nuclear targets they need to eliminate and go on a self-defense Air-Strike mission. But the rest of the world has to give them the go-ahead, or else they probably won't do it. If that's the case, Israel is capable. If you want to send over a massive ground force, the IDF won't be able to handle it on their own. Either way, I hope there is still a political way out of this. Much respect. |

We of course could give Israel the green light for air strikes if we felt diplomatic efforts had totally failed. However that would still be Israel's decision whether they felt the negative consequences outweighted the extensive negative repercussions. This would also unite many in Iran against the west that are currently hostile towards their government.
