Kerry takes up $1 million offer to disprove swiftboat vets
Senator says he's prepared to present evidence to Texas oilman in person
The billionaire bet $1 million for ANY ONE thing to be proven false.

It was a dumb bet and Kerry took him up on it. Anyone or any organization can make a mistake. Wait till the lawyers say it was not a real bet.

Bottom line, prove the accusations false, sounds simple to me.

Two things. First, John Kerry started all this when he "reported for duty" at the convention. If you want to run on your Vietnam veteran status, you better believe it will be scrutinized.

Second, it's unbelievably ridiculous for anyone to accuse me of denigrating Kerry's service. Don't forget for a minute that he came home and accused ALL Vietnam vets of horrendous war crimes. He denigrated his own service. Remember he said he threw his medals over the fence. He said he himself took part in violations of the Geneva convention. He's either a traitorous LIAR or a WAR CRIMINAL. Take your pick.

Ironic that you say I have no sense of shame or decency.
There is a difference between scrutinizing someone's service and claiming someone is a coward because apparently his injuries were not severe enough for your satisfaction. When John Kerry came home he reported what he saw. He saw war crimes. Do you think he was alone? There have been countless other first hand reports from veterans saying they witnessed soldiers doing horrible things. In fact, 109 soldiers and 16 civilians also talked about the war crimes they saw committed during the Winter Soldier investigation. Are they all traitors or war criminals for reporting what they saw? I have heard some stories of war crimes personally from first hand sources. To think that no horrible war crimes were committed in Vietnam is naive to the point of plain stupidity. John Kerry did not claim that all soldiers were war criminals, he just claimed the ones he saw committing war crimes were criminals. John Kerry did not denigrate his own service, he just claimed that this war wasn't worth fighting. That doesn't change the sacrifices that he made. Would you have had Kerry just ignore the atrocities that he saw? It takes a brave man to come forward and report what he saw, it also takes a brave man to say that a war he bled for was not worth it. It takes no bravery to criticize a veteran over the internet.

To say that he is a LIAR without any evidence that his claims were wrong or that he knew them to be wrong is disgusting. To say he is war criminal for following orders that violated the Geneva Conventions is foolish. He was just being a good soldier and doing what he was told.
Coming from the visceral left who continue to make up stuff on Bush's military. What a hypocrite. You should take the bet since you seem to know.

Except no matter how much proof is offered this guy isn't going to accept it. He clearly has no decency or respect for truth.

So I'm a hypocrite because the left criticized Bush's service record or lack there of. Right.

Everyone knows that all Kerry had to do was sign his Form 180. Why didn't he?

Remember how he said it was seared into his memory what it was like to be in Cambodia on Christmas Day, 1968 when President Nixon had said we had no troops there?? Good luck proving that one.

I didn't claim he's a coward. I claimed he was either a traitorous LIAR or a war CRIMINAL. My opinion is based on his own words.

No one said there were no war crimes in Vietnam, Mr. Strawman. Kerry contended that such crimes were routine. He absolutely did insult every man who served in Vietnam.

He was an officer. If he took part in war crimes, he was not being a good soldier. That would make him a war criminal. If he didn't take part in war crimes, then he LIED about it. Take your pick.

Since I already have proof that he is a LIAR, I'll stick with that one.

Default Just a thought ...

If you support the soldier only so long as the soldier supports the war, aren't you really just supporting the war and not the soldier?

If you support the soldier only so long as the soldier is against the war, are you really supporting the soldiers?

Of course, most of us realize that opposing the war is not the same thing as accusing soldiers of war crimes. Being against the war was never Kerry's big problem.
