Algore said the United States was "principally responsible" for blocking progress at the "climate change" talks.
http://www.foxnews.com/wires/2007Dec...erence,00.html What are we really seeing here? Getting back at the US for "cheating" him out of the presidency?

Yeah not only does he tell them to blame the USA specifically but he is proven wrong by the actions of the various nation reps there.
Maybe he was high or got too much sun..

You guys can't stand it when anyone bad-mouths US policy, can you?
Even when they're right! It's like, you'll jump on anyone who says anything bad about that idiot Bushie, so I mean, that kinda tells me how smart you are... I got news for you guys: Bushie makes US policy. Not "you", and not "me". So I mean, there's nothing in that equation, that says I gotta consider that policy in any way "mine". It's only one man's opinion is all, especially when he tells me right off the bat that he doesn't care what anyone else thinks - So I mean, Bushie does not equal America. Sorry guys. No can do. If you're bad-mouthing US policy, it doesn't mean you're bad-mouthing the US. It only means you're bad-mouthing the policy. So I mean, I don't wanna be an appeaser, but I don't wanna go the other way either, which is where Bushie is. He doesn't give a rat's patootie what anyone else thinks, and he ain't even gonna talk to 'em or listen to 'em, so like.... why can't we have some "middle ground" in there somewhere? You know, the smart thing to do, would be not to close off your options, right? Duh.... But Bushie the idiot doesn't think in those terms. He just wants to force other people to be "right" according to his arbitrary standards. You know, the foolish mentality of a truly ignorant individual - "if it works for me, then it's gonna work for you too". So I mean, his hypocrisy is being projected out into the rest of the world, in the form of "US policy", and that, is worthy of some considerable public outrage. Al Gore is right. The US obstructed what could otherwise have been a significant agreement, so.... what more is there to be said? You see, the problem in this space, is that "we" can't force China to play ball. Or Russia, or even Liechtenstein. They're gonna do whatever they want to do - so I mean, on this particular piece, the "Romney approach" sounds like it would be the best idea. You gotta create incentives for these guys, so they'll wanna play ball. In "some" cases, that approach is eminently operationa, and this smells like one of 'em. You know, let's get that idiot Wolfowitz at the World Bank, out of bed (and without his girlfriend), and put the man to work. What the hell is he doing anyway? Nothing! Let's make him get off his duff and start "re-aligning" some of that lending policy. I mean, there are all kinds of tools at our disposal - the only real question is, "are we motivated to use 'em". |

The US climate policy is just fine - the "world's" policy, which under Kyoto would allow the much of the "world" to belch anything into the atmosphere, is bunk and at least no REPUBLICAN president will accept it or anything like it. If the dems get power, they'll LOVE it because when millions of people are consequently thrown out of work and go on welfare, they'll have more clients.
