"Statist control" and "socialism" don't go together. Centralization removes power from the workers; not builds power for the workers. However, why object so strongly to state involvement with a public good like health care? There's far, far more extensive intervention in the private sector than that.

So what? The state props up unsupportable businesses all the time for the good of the state economy. The US economy as we know it today would not function without massive government support. Neither would the economy of any developed or developing country. Economic development as we know it today is a state enterprise, not a private enterprise. It has been since World War Two.

Real economic development is very painful for the people in power, because real economic development is a leveling force in society.

"Immigration policy" is staunchly anti-immigrant; the fact that it exists at all ought to be abhorrent to any people who respect freedom.

As for voter fraud... there's no substantial evidence of a significant problem with petty voter fraud of the sort that would be prevented by photo ID laws. It's just not very common. Certainly the photo ID laws themselves disenfranchise far more legitimate voters than fraudulent voters. Real voter fraud happens in the state legislatures and boards of elections.

There is no end to the disaster that is president Soetoro.

How so? He's been a fairly typical American president--a staunch state capitalist.

Bush was referred to as Chimp Bush. Do you remember? That was no more racist than me calling the Barackstar the Monkey King. Same principle. Obama's skin color does not protect him from ridicule. No politician gets respect.

Marxism is a revolutionary theory, not reformist. Barack Obama was elected president, and encourages change through legislation. Barack Obama is a reformist. Thus, he cannot be a Marxist, by definition. End of story.

Read some Marx. The communist manifesto is like 30 pages long, it doesn't take long. Marxism is more than "communism!" or "socialism!", despite the never ending outbursts from the right. It's as much about revolution, and history for that matter, as it is about socialism/ communism.

Reformists can't be Marxist.

I agree completely. The Founders were so far ahead of their time we had nowhere to go but backwards.
