The only rogue president we have had is GW who was 'awarded' the presidency by a partisan U.S. Supreme Court who abruptly ordered the cessation of recounting the Gore ballots that had been ordered by the Fla. Supreme Court and promptly declared GW Bush the president.

I wouldn't obey unlawful orders...

I don't obey stupid orders either. I know plenty of NCO's, myself included, who have had to put commissioned officers in their place because they give idiotic orders that aren't necessarily unlawful but just flat out dangerous and/or dumb.

It's not trying to gloat but the enlisted side is more experienced than the commissioned side yet the officers are the ones in charge. So we tend to butt heads sometimes when it comes to whats the best way to go out things.

In the military, we call defying your commander mutiny. When you sign up, you sign away your constitutional rights in deference to military Law. Ergo, mutiny charges apply. Allow gray areas in disobeying a commander and you're going to have a little problem on your hands.
