Forbes reports that Mike Bloomberg has made up his mind, he will indeed be running for president. Forbes also claims that Al Gore is going to betray the Democrats, and endorse Bloomberg. Schwarzenegger has also been talking up a Bloomberg run for office.

Unlike Ross Perot who tried to make his independent run on the cheap, Michael Bloomberg is reputed to be will to spend between $500M to $1B of his own money on an independent run.

Take a centerist self-made billionaire, throw in a few high profile endorsement defections from both parties, add a billion dollar campaign budget, and you've got a contender.

If he runs Romney has a good chance of winning New York.

Bloomberg actually made his money.

Now trust fund bunny, Romney, isn't the worst choice out there, don't get me wrong. But something about him reminds me so much of another rich Massachusetts politician who somewhat recently ran for president.
