I'm glad that CNN has at least been forthcoming about the shooters ethnicity.

Some have accused Zimmerman, who is Hispanic, of profiling the black teen.

His father delivered a statement to the Orlando Sentinel this week saying his son moved out of his home after receiving death threats. George Zimmerman is Hispanic and grew up in a multiracial family, the statement says.

A 17 yr old kid is dead and all you can come up with is your glad that Zimmerman is not a white guy. Unbelievable.

I agree. It's obvious Zimmerman only suspected the kid because he was black. I don't care if Zimmerman himself was black. He let his prejudice get a boy killed.

And how the (*)(*)(*)(*) do the cops not hear these tapes and immediately think Zimmerman needs to be locked up and put on trial? This is CLEARLY not self defense.

What's special about this case? Young men are killing each other every day, all across the country. If it were not for the racial/class element to this story, only a handful of people would care, and there certainly wouldn't have been this level of media coverage.

Young black men are dying everyday in the streets of America and no one cares, if these were young white men dying in the same manner this would be called an epidemic. Kind of like what we saw a few years ago with the Meth breakout. It was brought to the floor of the Senate and the House, never saw that happen when crack hit the scene.

That is the reason Zimmerman (doesn't sound Hispanic too me) is not sitting in jail today, because in this country the life of a young black teen holds no real value.

Some people think the efforts to fight drugs in impoverished black communities is racist in and of itself.

That is the reason Zimmerman (doesn't sound Hispanic too me) is not sitting in jail today, because in this country the life of a young black teen holds no real value.

This is especially true amongst gangsters.
