Default Many Huckabee supporters are up for grabs!

There is a very large segment of Huckabee’s supporters which can be won over by simply telling them the truth about Huckabee‘s adopted fair tax plan, and then, promising to actually work to accomplish what Huckabee has misled his supporters to believe is contained in his adopted fair tax plan. Why do I believe this to be true?

The real Mike Huckabee phenomenon begins several years back, perhaps in 2005 when H.R. 25, Fair Tax Act of 2005 was introduced in the House.

At this time Neal Boortz , a popular nationwide talk radio host was panhandling the fair tax as a 23 per cent tax on consumption and services, replacing existing taxes on incomes, but he wasn’t telling his listeners some very important things contained or omitted in the text of the proposed legislation. For example, he continually gave the impression that H.R. 25 would repeal all taxes calculated from profits, gains, salaries and other incomes and remove from Congress’s powers the power to lay and collect taxes calculated from such incomes which would in turn end the misery for Mary and Joe Sixpack keeping records and being subject to federal audits and such. And how did Mary and Joe Sixpack respond to Neal Boortz’s version of H.R. 25?

In one instance about 8,000 fair tax supporters filled the Carolina Coliseum on May 15th to help make the FairTax an issue at the South Carolina Republican presidential primary debate.

On May 24th 2006 about 4500 supporters showed up at another fair tax rally while hundreds more were turned away because of limited space.

And on July 24th 2006, the fair tax was on the Republican primary ballot in three metropolitan Atlanta counties, and was approved by over 85 percent of the voters.

And what is a recent headline concerning fair tax supporters?

Huckabee's Fair Tax friends under investigation and almost out of cash

Quote:
.”...........Huckabee's rise in Iowa has been credited in part to AFFT's efforts. The group has been a staple at many of the Republican candidate's campaign appearances and took an active role in getting voters to the Ames GOP straw poll that catapulted Huckabee into the spotlight.

Snip>>>

AFFT's role has also given rise to reports that the Federal Election Commission is looking into claims the group violated campaign finance rules by bussing in 500 voting Iowans and 1,000 other supporters to the straw poll. AFFT's non-profit and non-partisan designation means it cannot legally endorse or contribute to any candidate.
Now, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that a very significant number of Huckabee’s supporters are in fact fair tax supporters … PERIOD ! Unfortunately, these supporters have been mislead by Huckabee, and, one only needs to point to the specific language of H.R. 25 to establish that H.R. 25 does not proposes to remove from Congress’s powers, the power to lay and collect taxes calculated from profits, gains, salaries and other incomes which can only occur via a constitutional amendment, and which is not mandated if H.R. 25 were to be adopted and enforced!

Now, I ask, what would happen if one of the other Republican candidates pointed to the flimflamery of the alleged fair tax and then promised to work to actually end the taxes Huckabee falsely pretends to his followers would be ended?

What would happened if another candidate proposed to sincerely work to have a constitutional amendment adopted which would bring us back to our Constitution’s original tax plan as our founding fathers intended it to operate, and would in fact end the taxes Huckabee‘s adopted tax plan, H.R. 25, does not propose to end?

What would happen if that candidate proposed to work to having the following words added to our Constitution?

The Sixteenth Amendment is hereby repealed and Congress is henceforth forbidden to lay ``any`` tax or burden calculated from profits, gains, interest, salaries, wages, tips, inheritances or any other lawfully realized money

JWK

If we can make the majority of America’s population dependent upon a monthly federal government check, [H.R. 25’s family consumption allowance which Huckabee supports], we can then bribe them for their vote, keep ourselves in power, and keep the remaining portion of America’s population enslaved to pay the bills.
