It's amazing that nearly every terrorist plot foiled seems to involve US intelligences agencies or can be linked to them. Nearly uncanny.

That said, what was the actual point of even releasing the information in the first place if the CIA was in control from start to finish.

i read the story via yahoo and the OP is quite misleading. a mole working for the CIA infiltrated Al Qaeda, it was not a CIA agent working for Al Qaeda.
